Default Paint losing its shine

The nose of my car just doesn't shine nearly as well as the rest of my car (which is not much). What can I do to shine it up?

Looks like the clearcoat is about gone. You can try buffing it out but you need to be careful. Use a light duty polish like 3m finesse. It should bring back the shine some. Just be very careful. Only other choice is to have the parts repainted.

It's gonna have to be repainted. Buffing it will just burn through the clear.

Your going to have to reshoot some color on it, when you sand it to reclear it your more than likley going to sand through somewhere. It just as easy to prep it to repaint then clear. Its going to cost you more money but thats the best way to do it. Make sure you buy good basecoat. The less expensive basecoat, especially a metallic color, doesn't spray as well and you will get a better color match with a better basecoat.

I work at a car dealership. they have those cool paint sealant machines there. In phoeinix, its called the Auto Butler. I use it at the dealership I work at and I think it keeps any car's aint in awesome shape. You just get it reapplied every six months. If your car has nice paint on it, have it treated twice a year to keep it that way
