In car cam swap question
My friend is wanting me to swap cams in his '98 vette and I was wondering if I can do it in the car without having to pull the condenser? Thanks in advance.

pull condensor and radiator and you can stand in there while you do it. Don't pull the hood. In my Vid below there are some pics that you can see to help a little~Cole~

Condensor doesnt need to be pulled, but I would do it just to have more room to work with. Dont worry about the AC getting refilled. You can do that yourself by going to autozone and getting the kit. I've done that plenty of times. your car holds two pounds of freon, so do the math at the store. Hood also doesnt need to come off, but I did it on mine when I worked on mine. Hope this helps!

with the rack, disconnect the lines from the knuckle area and use a big pry bar to lift it up and move to the passangers side. it's really not that hard once you've done it once. If you do that, make DAMN sure you don't wreck the oil pickup tube seal. or you'll have to pull the rack AGAIN

Before dealing with the rack myself, I would have called you a pansy for that comment. "And while you are at it, how about you rearrange furniture in a room and then have a discussion about it looks." The gloves are a good idea. I bashed my knuckles several times doing the rack on mine.
