knocking noice
So about 2 years ago my camaro started making a knocking noise. I wasn't sure what was wrong with it so i decided to park it. I'm finally getting around to it. I'm still not sure where the noise is coming from. Not sure if it's a rod bearing, push rod, or piston. Would anybody have an idea as to where I can start looking.
note: when idling you can hear the knock, when i rev it to 3500 rpm it seems to go away but as soon as i push on the gas it comes back.

What does the oil pressure look like? If you drive the car up on ramps and put a screw driver to your ear and the other end on the bottom of the oil pan, if it is a bottom end knock it will sound really loud.

Well if it sounded a little louder on the bottom end, then the chances are that the sound is coming from the bottom end of the motor, such as rod bearings, crank bearings, possible wrist pin, etc. Basically in order to fix what I think is your problem, the engine will need to be pulled and torn down. Lets face it, its pointless to replace only one out of 8 bearings if not all the bearings in the motor. You pull it apart, might as well do a basic check and over haul.
Good Luck.

Ouch. Definitely doesn't sound good, and it sure doesn't sound like a lifter tapping LOL
If that were my engine, there's no doubt I'd pull the motor and rebuild/replace it. I wouldn't even start it up again.

i would go and buy the TSP 383 kit and go from there, that would be a great start and u wouldnt have to worry about the bottom end. put a nice size with a good set of heads u will be good to go
but it will be a lot more than 3500 all said and done but it would be worth it
