LS6 intake and EGR?
I want to put a LS6 intake on my 99 LS1. Of course the standard LS6 intake doesn't come with EGR provisions. Here's what I was thinking of doing: Plug the EGR tube that goes to the LS1 intake. Then, take the plate and 2 bolts that go into the LS1 intake for the EGR tube and mount them on the LS6 intake. This way it visually looks like the EGR stuff is still intact and functional. Then, just tune out the codes for the EGR. I plan on leaving the AIR system intact.
My goal is to run a normal LS6 intake while not worrying about whether I will pass inspection or not.
Would this work? Is there anything else I might need to do to make this work right? Can I leave the exhaust stuff in it's original configuration or should I try to block off EGR provision on the exhaust side as well? Thanks in advance.

I live in VA. I'm trying to buy a used LS6 intake as opposed to a new one and save a few bucks. It looks like this would be possible and pretty convincing for an inspection.

I'm just trying to be overly cautious. I don't want to have to remod my vehicle later to pass an inspection. I've done the whole find the right shop to pass it thing before on other cars, and it gets old after awhile.
Thanks everyone for the responses.
