my start up is right around 40psi and it settles to around 20-25psi once hot at idle. but it is very sensitive to any pedal input and will shoot up to over 60psi instantly, like a tach. car has h/c/h etc.... w/~420 rwhp and driven daily. engine was rebuilt about 12k ago and the psi has always been the same.

on hot days mine does about the same the the OP's does. 25-30 psi hot 45-50 psi cold. Goes up with throttle as well and will hit 60 psi at full throttle.

I just don't understand why these cars vary so much between them. Now I can understand if you have work done to it, but if you get a bunch of guys running about the same stuff or close to stock, shouldn't this stuff be the same across the board?

the "1/4 mark"on the dash is 35psi and the "3/4 mark" on the dash is 70psi,
according to my mechanical gauge i have under the hood of my car.
once my car warms up the gauge sits at the "1/4" mark
and stays there under RPM, maybe it will hit the 40psi mark.
it`s been doing this for 40,000 miles now.
you might need a new sender like me.

This might just be on your car. The mechanical gauge i have on mine goes right with the one in the dash.
