Western Members - Famoso June 20th - Going for 9's on stock shortblock

I ran my 00 Silver SS camaro (its my g/f's daily driver) last friday and put down a 10.9 @ 123 n/a with my h/c/i/4l60e/3800 edge converter/stock rear /w 4.11's/full bolt on suspension on one pass. (spun/shifted into 2nd 10 ft out, 60ft'ed 1.57, tagged rev limiter 2nd to 3rd shift)

The car will go 10.7 or so n/a with no changes just a clean pass....

Ive got a bunch of small changes im finishing up this week to make sure it runs solid and ill spray it with 100 rwhp or so...


Im expecting 9.90-10.20's @ 132-134 or so if the rearend holds up...ill probably spray it 20 feet out or so to try and keep it alive. If it doesnt quite get there,ill make some more changes and try it out next TnT...whatever it breaks (shortblock or rearend) ill have it swapped out for better parts (ive got a couple forged shortblock's or 9" rear) for the next race after that...

i think there is a test and tune night on the 20th

with a 150 shot i dont see why you cant go 9's, many have done it. go ahead a spray out of the hole, as long as the tune is spot on, you should have no problems, and the extra boost you get in the 60' ft will help you time drop, just my opinion

Had some transmission issues....no good passes last night :(

Car was launching in 3rd gear due to a tune problem....(got hectic and screwed up the shifting settings)..... one amusing point is it went 1.73 60ft leaving in 3rd gear...geez.

Think the shift points in the tune could possibly be my problem also??? It also tries to take off in 3rd or 4th??? You have them set a 6800 and 6400. Still trying!

It was probably like 120 degrees out there?

I think its a tuning issue j/k lol ,

After fixing it, it ran great the following night.....the logs on the street passes were 0-136mph in just over 10 flat.....I think on a hard leave itll run the number next test-n-tune
