Then check with Va Speed on their 243's, look into the other you mentioned. I like the Darts because they are an aftermarket casting. JMO. I have room to grow if I ever go 408 with my 225's. A lot of people do make the mistake of buying inexpensive heads only to be unhappy and end up buying the AFR's/TFS/ETP's in the end, costing even more. If you can at all stretch out to afford them, the ones above will impress you period. If not, then you're like me, don't care if I'm dyno king or impressing everyone on the net. Just me.

We can do a set of our CNC ported 243's with oem valves, our Patriot Gold spring kit, and hardened pushrods for $1190.00 plus shipping. These heads should give you gains between 20-40 rwhp. If you have any questions, please let us know.

I would look in the classified section and get something aftermarket as all the afermarket heads have a thicker deck wich is good for later goals and not pushing water.
For 1200 you can find a set of DART 205's brand new with valves and springs and they flow pretty good, later down the road you will have more options with this head or any other aftermarket head.

These are some great heads and if you dont need springs i think you can get them with out them with out. They come with i want to say 660 lift valve springs so you could always just sell the ones you have just to save a little trouble. And there shipping pretty quick.

I'd go with some of our Stage 2.5 5.3L heads. The small intake runner and chamber make for good useable power without having to spin alot of RPM. Of course we can get you the heads without springs since you've already got some!
We've got the LS6 heads on a BIG special currently, but I really feel like you'd benefit from the 5.3L heads a bit more with your current setup.
Let us know if we can help!

I understand it's about getting components to work with eachother to make a stout motor on a limited budget, and being smart with what parts you choose, but the comment of "you get what you pay for" is incorrect. nothing is error proof, defect proof, no matter what one product/vendor/manufacturer one finally chooses to go with...
this is the info that never seems to make it into posts that the people who are asking these questions need to know about...
