World's First Flex Fuel '70 Chevelle!!
Well, that I know of anyways!!! We are working with a customer on his '70 Chevelle. I guess going through 3 sets of tires last year with the 6.0L wasn't enough, so this year we have built him a 415 L92 Corn burning Monster. This engine made 575HP and 600 ft-lbs on the engine dyno. We are in the proccess of making it a full flex fuel vehicle, but the 4l60 finally said enough is enough. So, now we are going to go with a full manual valve body to hopefully get this thing to live.
We will be at Car Craft with this car and hopefully a '61 4.8L/T56 Corvette also with flex fuel capabilities.
Hope you enjoy the pics of the Chevelle!!!!

Very, very nice. Good job....not my style of car but I can appreciate a job well done. You beat me to the punch (because I'm sooooo slow). I still may have the first "Flex-fuel" old school hot rod though. Of course out here they don't hardly sell any corn-fuel anyway.

what ECU are you using?? im guessing you need an aftermarket one as the stock one dosen't have switchable maps dose it??
the you customer to bolt some turbos on there. then he can have an octane on demand system!!
Chris.
PS are you running 2 sets of injectors and a seperate fuel system or a single one??

We are running a stock ECM with a '99 operating system. We have some secrets about making it work. We are using the Lucas 42lb/hr injectors running at 58psi with only one fuel system. I think he has all of the power he can use for right now. I think this will be the end for this car. Maybe his 50 something wagon will get more go.
