I think you're right, it's an auto on street tires I think so it was probably the nitrous coming on. The **** talkers there said it had a 200shot but I doubt it. Maybe 125-150??? I trap 124 and was walking away the whole time.

The evo is @ 3250lbs and 500+awhp currently. stock block, stock head, stock ecu, stock mas on bald street tires (hence the lame launch)

I don't know anything about that vette other than the group with him were running their mouths all night about how they could whip anything out there for any $ amount.

I didn't say a word to them, just rolled up when my friend said they wanted to race me. I didn't say anything to them afterwards either. I let the car do the talking

I hate people that run their mouths. It's one thing to say " ya it moves out" it's another to say it'll lay waste to anything out here. Comon a ls3 with even a 200 shot? That's far from a beat all car.
Awesome tuning on the EVO. Definitely impressive for stock engine (minus cams I assume). What does it take to make 500 awhp in a new Evo? Turbo fuel IC exhaust and a tune? GJ

Takes a bit for that 35R to get going. Nice run.

Neat lil race. Would've been nice to see how it would've turned out had the vette had grip when the nitrous came in. Probably still might have lost by not by 4 cars.

not really, that was my fault for letting the clutch out a bit too quick and slightly bogging the launch. under 4000rpm the car is dead meat. I typically come out at 6500-7000rpm.

I'm sure it would have been a little closer

I let a friend borrow my other set of rims with the drag radials so I was on bald street tires...if I left on the 2-step with 15psi of boost it would have camped out on the rev limiter through first gear going nowhere. I chose to launch it the good ole fashioned way by modulating the clutch/throttle to keep wheel spin in check.

yep, I'm wondering if those guys are coming out with more nitrous and drag radials this weekend. I'll be ready for them... 2-step at 7000rpm and 15psi of boost off the line with 4 drag radials at 15psi each just in case I rolled out this last time.

nah, it was dry, probably a glare from the rubber that's been laid down. *shrug*

the owner of the vette came in that video thread...said it was a 100 dry shot and has gone 10.5 with a 200 wet shot.
