If the rim styles are somewhat the same, they wont look too bad. I used to run 15" weld draglites on my old mustang, but whenever I would make a long trip, id throw the 17s on the rear, so I didnt have to drive on the slicks.
If I had prostars, or a similiar matching wheel to the 17" Cobra R's, it wouldn't have looked too bad.

I'm hoping you know that it's dangerous running 315's on a 9.5" wheel. I highly suggest you go through with the 17x11 idea.

Sorry but I think it would look stupid. Not trying to be mean, but just honest. I meen if your just going to the track like that it would be alright, but if you plan on driving around with 15/17 combo I don't think it would look good.

I've been wondering the same thing. I've got a set of black ZR1's with 315's out back and I was wanting to lighten up the front end at the track with some 15x4 greg welds. The only time I would be running them is at the track, not street driven. I'd probably end up painting the greg welds the same black/polished lip as the ZR1's so it doesn't look that horrible.
