New setup video (MS4/PRC 5.3 2.5's)
Well here's my new setup. The tune is still a little off it seems. I tried messing with the idle adjustment screw on the TB but it still wants to surge up and down and when I do seem to get it right it won't start. Ugh. Anyways, here it is...

Well here's the one that I had, the idle is just all over the place and in the video I'm messing with the TB adjustment screw trying to settle it down...

Drill a hole in TB it will help alot with idle and tune.
A friend of mine made 429rwhp with the same setup but PRC stg 1 LS6 Heads A4 3800stall and 3.73 gears the car ran 11.2@125mph I'm sure with your heads you'll have more power.

Get it tuned and it will idle like a champ. my car idles rock steady @950 with a 238/242 112lsa with afr 59cc 205's,lts ect. it would not idle at all till i got it tuned .best 200 bucks i ever spent.
I spent 3 nights messin with the idle screw ,drilling the blade with no gain. then the guy tuned it ran like a dream

You're not gonna get anywhere adjusting the screw while the car is running. You're tps is reading a throttle movement when you make adjustments while the car is on. When it reads the movement, you're no longer in "idle mode". You need to make an adjustment and then reset the tps sensor. And...if you don't have tuning software you're still flying blind. I know from personal experience (ms4 cam here) that it still won't really idle without changing idle air flow and bumping idle up to 800rpms or so. The computer will make it try to idle around the stock 500...that cam just can not idle that low. And....if it means anything...I'm in the "don't drill your TB blade" club.

Thanks for the input man. I AM NOT planning on drilling my TB. I'll get it worked out one way or another. I really feel that it is a tuning issue at this point. If it was a vacuum leak or something of that nature, wouldn't it have continued to surge when I messed with the idle adj?

Just so you guys know, there are some setups that WILL REQUIRE you to drill your throttleblade to a larger hole. Your IAC valve can only compensate for so much, and if your motor needs more air than your IAC valve can provide at idle, then the best way to get that extra airflow is to enlarge that hole. Opening the throttle plate like some stated can cause problems as well because the TPS will be registering throttle position. Of course this all is done AFTER you tune to try and get your idle right by adjusting your desired airlow and idle compensation tables.

Just drop a few $$$ on a tune. Hopefully they can nail it right off the bat. Personally, I have been trying to get my tune right for awhile now. Paid a shop, but kinda wish I bought my own damn HPTuners and just researched and researched. Every week I am back trying to get a few things tweaked. Maybe I chose the wrong tuner. Damnit!!!
