Default I need help

Im doing a 69 camaro hotrod. Air ride suspension, mini tub with big wheels, custom everything, TURBO LS1!!! Just about everything and anything you can do to a 69 we are doing it. The car is being built for SEMA so it has to be the baddest 69 ever.

So we thought the only way to make it the baddest is to turbo it. Our customer wants me to get some prices together but first I need to know who has done an ls1 turbo motor in a 69 for a driver??

Remeber this car is a show car that will get driven but not raced. We want amazing driveability with the ability of laying into it when we want to!

Motor has forged internals (9.3:1) in it already
Car has aftermarket tubular subframe with ls1 rack mounts and ls1 engine mounts

questions:
What heads and cam?
What manifolds? I would like to use truck manifolds b/c of the price but will they fit?
What turbo? T76 was my guess??
Blow off Valve and wastegate?
Does anyone make a wiring harness??

We are running p/s and a/c also. it will be a vintage air setup for the a/c

Intercooler is already mounted!!!
Anyhelp from you guys will be highly appreciated!! I will post some pics of this car later on today!!!

Thanks,
Shaun

If you are building it for SEMA and a show car, Then i would say that headers not exhaust manifolds would be the best route.

What heads and cam do you have now?

What is your HP goal? This will determine turbo and associated parts.

The motor was a complete stock 99 ls1 when we got it. so now it just has forged internals. Im looking to get heads and cam also.

so at the moment it has stock heads and cam.

Headers would be fine i just need to keep a/c. The motor will be most likely running vintage air's new front runner system for the LS motors.

Hp goals are 600+

Thanks
Shaun
