Default Whipple kit

I did a search and couldn't find any info worth mentioning on this topic. Whipple makes a supercharger kit for the 4th gen f-body part number WK-101005B and it probably makes some serious power.

It says it will not fit under the C5 hood, but luckily I don't have a C5, I have a Camaro. They don't say anything about clearance problems on the f-bodies at all.

My car is all apart right now, the heads are off, cam is out, and I am searching around for options on how to make good power on the stock motor without using nitrous.

ProCharger kits look too hard to install, and I've heard that the twin intercooler setup isn't so great and I'm not going to mess with a front mount.

Any input would be appreciated.

EDIT: After some more research, it looks like the kit was made for LS1s, but not really f-bodies, it's a little confusing.

That being said, what would I have to do? I don't mind putting a cowl hood on it, or doing some cutting to the cowl itself.

You will have problems unless you don't mind cutting your cowl.

As long as it's nothing more than cutting the cowl then no I don't mind. I see you have a KB, I wonder if I could modify that kit to fit my car.

I'm not sure about that whipple. On their site it says 14"L x 7"W x 2.5"H. That cant be right 2.5" tall?
I'd have to see the actual kit on a f body! I have a maggie and it required a 3/4" body lift and some trimming to the cowl. and my t/b still rubs the hood.

To fit a Whipple or a KB directly on the heads then major surgery would be required.
