Default 2002 zo6 ebcm

One of the cars my dad is looking at reciently had the EBCM replaced, owner states it had started to act up. I know there are quite a few posts about this happening but I was just wondering if this is more frequent for an 02? I have read some about different sized wheels causing this problem, is that true? This seems like a fairly common problem from what I have read, once it has been replaced do they normally continue to have the problem or is it generally fixed?

Generally, they are fixed by replacing the ebcm. If that doesn't correct the problem it is probably a grounding issue and there's a ton of them to locate and clean up. Good luck if he purchases the car.

Its pretty common, our ebcm on our Z06 has been rebuilt and it's not expensive to do. You can get it done for about $150. Dont let that worry you at all.
