Depending on the NPT size of the -10 return fitting:

1/2-14 NPT TAP 45/64" bit Or 11/16
3/8-18 NPT TAP 37/64" bit Or 9/16
3/4-14 NPT TAP 59/64" bit Or 15/16

Here is the link to the drain kit I bought.

Would it be the 1/2-14 NPT?

Thanks again Derek.

That is a -10AN to 3/8 NPT fitting.

3/8-18 NPT 37/64"Bit
You should be able to use a 9/16 bit, they are easier to find...

Lowes should have it.

If not, try your local Fastenal.

If your going to drill and tap something for a -10 return why would you drill it for 3/8 pipe? That is no bigger than -6. I would drill and tap for 3/4 NPT so there is no restriction.

Ended up being the

3/8-18 NPT TAP 37/64" bit Or 9/16

I was able to find a 1/8 tap. But the drill bit R was not there. I was told that a 21/64 is the same thing. Is this true?

http://www.engineersedge.com/drill_sizes.htm

Looks like a "R" bit is a .3390, closest down size is a 21/64" (.3281) or up size to a 11/32" (.3437)

I pulled that off my old machinist cheat guide, Im guessing that chart I posted is the same

BTW, go to any fastner supply (around here we have Automotive Fasnters) and they will surely have the "R" size bit you require, or you can order it from Grainger.

http://www.grainger.com/Grainger/items/1G683

You can use the 21/64" but its gonna make for a pretty tight tap and your gonna have to make sure and use liberal amount of cutting oil and back up alot cleaning out the threads.

Thanks EvobyDarwin

Going to give it a shot with the 21/64
If it ends up being too hard, ill just order it from Gainger.

you need a Pipe thread tap. 3/8"

Just like this:
http://www.acetoolonline.com/Product...rce=googlebase

Here is the bit you need:
http://www.buy.com/retail/product.as...45&dcaid=17902

a standard 9/16" bit will work...

Where did this type R bit come from???
Thats not what you need.
