Default A new proud indy LS1 guy with a few questions!

Hey guys, ladies. Ive known about LS1tech forever but never owned an LS1 so i never really thought to join, im a previous 1st gen chevy owner and LT owner... an LS was handed to me today and i have many questions and i knew this was the place to come!

WHERE- Indianapolis Indiana

NAME- Tavis

CAR!- Ive got a 97 Trans Am 6speed... gotta Ford 9'' with 4.11's, 8pt roll cage, tubular k-member, a arms, AGX struts, eibach drag launch kit wt air bags, basically everything spohn makes, MT ET Streets, and shaved the spoiler, dual side exhaust. "to be different".

Now i got an ls1 today. i gave the engine builder a price and asked "what can u do for this much? He says i can basically do whatever you want as long as you request is around 600-700hp (look at my thread to post reply)

Thanks!!!

be sure to check the threads in the Indiana section. There are some dedicated to the Indy guys. There are quite a few of us who get together and hang out on the south side. Welcome to the site.

hey I say put a nice H/C combo on it and spray the **** out of it...and then you will have left over money to build the bottom end when it ***** out on you,or which its looking like you have enough to build the bottom end too so do that, put you a vic jr. on it and spray it...

Built motor with forced induction. I would not spray a 200 shot or more on a stock LS1 bottom end but even past a 200 shot you can't just go around hitting the botton whenever you want.

Indianapolis here. Big Block Power.

Only two shops in the Indy area that I would trust to build me something be it small block or big block.

I just like the behavior of a naturally aspirated LS. I Was just wondering what you guys would recon when it comes to Camshaft, Bore, and Stroke numbers. Whats an unbeatable N/A combo? and yes it will be a completely aftermarket bottem and top end. i just need advise on combo's and limitations of the LS1

With built internals power limit depends on your budget. Mild to wild is a decision away.

I'm just FI stock internal but the guys here will fill you in..
