Thats way too much gear! You'd be out of gear at the 8th mile. You would have to run 30+" tall tires and spin the motor up really high (7k+ rpms) to make use of those gears.

all I gotta say is...............SHIFT!!! Then I would dump them for a set of 4.30's but depending on what you have done for mods, this might make you have to run a 28" tall tire. When I get my 9 inch I think I am going to go to a 4.30 and I will still be able to run NA on a 26 tall tire, but if and when I put the jugg to it I will need a 28 tall tire.

We have a 9" with a 5.44 gear and a 28X10.5X15. It is awesome. Doesn't care what gear I leave in. We use to drive on the street with a 5.0 gear. Bad gas mileage.

Im running 4.56's with a 28" tire. That gives me 132mph in the 1/4 at 7200rpm.

I may be running 4.88's in the future, but 5.11's is just nutty!
