Default where is the cheapest place to get a lt4 hotcam kit?

just as the title says, who is the cheapest? i see huge swings on the price of the kit. i know i know i should stay away from the hot cam but this is prob all im gonna do to it for a while before i look for an ls1. so unless there is a way to get another cam, springs, and 1.6 rr for about the same price hotcam it is.

I know you can get a LT4 kit (cam, heads, & intake) from Edelbrock for ~$2500 last time I checked.

They pop up on e-bay once and a while at lower costs, you can search on part number 12480002 and compare prices, looks like $560-$600 is the current going price for the complete kit.

Well Considering They Stopped Making This Cam Just A Few Months Ago The Price Is Probably Gunna Rise Some, This Being Said You Can Get A Much Better Cam And Rr's With Springs For Around The Same Price. But Ill Let You Know I Got Springs Shipped For Like 175 And Rr's For Around That Same Price So Thats What 350$ Then Add Another 250 For A Cam From Comp Cams And You Are Right At That $600 Mark That The Hot Cam Kit Is Running For Now.

see thats a perfect example this guy has a cc503 that will blow the hot cam out of the water and he only spent 675 total. thats all you should need to hear, and if you still get the hot cam i hope you enjoy mediocrity.

I'm not going to get into the LT4 kit but lets just say that Im not a big fan of it mostly because the valve springs are pretty shitty and there are better cam choices out there IMO. Depends on what your looking for but it may be the right cam for you I dunno.a If you do your research you can come out ahead in terms of quality of parts for about the same price or a little more and believe me it would be worth it. I bought a cc503 and all valvetrain which was better quality than that found in the hot cam kit for just maybe $100 more or so and well worth it not only for the quality reasons but for another solid 10-12rwhp/tq or so.
