what are some symptoms of a broken or clogged cat. could this cause a car to bog down at wot? what other things could cause a car to bog down?

i had a clogged cat on my 240sx, when the car was warm at wot the car felt like it wanted to go but something was holding it back. my temp guage went a lil higher then normal at stop lights, and was when i got out the car from driving you could hear the cat popping like it wanted to bust, plus it was extremely hot. it eventually overheated due to the cat being clogged, i cleared it and everything was fine.

You can easily check your cat with a back pressure gauge.

If it was a clogged cat you would barely make it up a hill

Bad fuel pump would also cause it to bog down at wot.

Dirty fuel filter, dirty MAF.

its neither of these but fuel pump could be...i hope not because i just replaced that when the sending unit took a ****
