Bad oil leak from rear of the oil pan????
Just as the title says, after the first start H/C. All of the bolts were torqued to spec, but I noticed that most of the oil was coming from the oil filter or the "stem" above the filter (I"m not actually sure of what it is). Is there supposed to be a plug, or bolt in it???

I posted the video, not because it has any relevance to the oil leak, but because It is so friki'n cool!!!
P.S. It sounded so much better than my Cobra ever did!!!!!!

I had to remove the oil pan, because I dropped a bolt in it while installing my double roller timing set up. Notice the stem above the oil filter threads. Could that be my problem, or did I accidentally leave the old oil filter seal stuck on the oil pan and just threaded my filter below it??

Are you talking about the plate looking thing above where the oil filter mounts. the thing is that is held on with two bolts? yes that is required, it needs to be on there.

You have to use RTV in the four corners (covers meet the block) of the block where the oil pan bolts up. I could see that being lost throught oil pan. But you're going to have to explore all options. If you didn't touch that plate above the oil filter adapter, than its most likely not the source of your leak, but it wouldn't be too hard to remove it and replace a gasket (if it has one) I suppose. Did you try removing the oil filter and making sure it's sealing properly? You didn't by chance break the oil sending unit did you?
