chassis & suspension, weight reduction and sticky tires if you dont already. im assuming you mean quarter mile ? you should have some reasonable power. you could start putting it to the ground better with the type of things i suggested. id say if you could hook you should win a quarter mile race. he might still get you out of the hole but you will run him down due to him losing power to the awd on the topend.

If you really want to win, tire, suspension, and a 150hp shot of nitrous.

A shot of nitrous would seal the deal...

If you dont wanna go that route, just do anything you can to pull some weight, and hook... Is your front sway bar removed or disconnected?..That could help greatly..

have you thought of NOS, like 100 shot wet, and or gears? That should give you a margen. Unless you want to win on motor alone. but put it on a slick if you are nucking futs switch to a manual steering rack, or at least change the belt to delete it for the race,(ricer trick). you could get aftermarket K-member and A-arms, adjustable tq arm, sub frame connectors, adj pan hard bar, battery relocated to the trunk. I would presume that you have already pulled all of the dead weight, (like spare tire and jack and so on). If you want to get crazy pull the rear and the passenger seats, and TXFormula had so good ideas. Good luck
