Posted this on Ls7 page- but also needed to post here on drag racing department.. This is cool! I had just sold a 99 225inch hard tail dragster to a guy who when he picked up the dragster, said that he raced for Indiana University- them being his main sponser.. So this week out at the Lucas Oil Drag Series @ National Trails in Columbus, Oh- he was there.. and for the first time.. i got to see his dragster he raced for the school.. well.. i was shocked.. Ls7 stock Gm crate motor.. dont see this everyday in Super Pro
(8.90 index) He runs on or close to the number @ 154 mph.. not bad for a stock head, stock cam, stock intake, stock everything except the t/b..

Just wanted to see what you guys thought about this.. cool? or what?

I got a friend with a dragster also LS powered.
Stock 6.0 out of boneyard , cam, cleaned up heads , carb intake and BS3 going 8.70's
Definately cool to look at .

+1 on that one.. and get mpg to boot! i bet this thing still gets 15-18mpg going down the track with a stock cam..

Thats really awesome. Didn't really put that together that the LS7 could make that go that fast...but then again, you don't really think about power to weight in that respect haha

That would be fun to street drive just for grins, but turning that thing would be like driving a damn semitruck around...hang a 'caution wide turns' sign on the back of it hahaha

Its actually Indiana Universities Dragster- but basically- he races it for the school.. ya.. all paid! lol
