Default 2 Stroke Kits?

Just curious if they sell any 2 stroke kits for our cars? I heard they make twice the power of a similar displacement engine that's four stroke. It'd be awesome if the kit had aftermarket reeds and exhaust powervalves. Also any places that will make custom exhaust to take advantage of the scavenging effects of a 2 stroke?

Step away from the LSD. Put down the crack pipe. Remove the needle from your arm. Burn your computer. Now that you are ready, take apart a 2 stroke motor and see why this idea ranks among some of the most retarded ever proposed.

I've taken apart a two stroke motor before and put a new piston and rings in it. Actually looked very good considering it was reved to the moon. I just want that explosive powerband and smoke everywhere and the unique sound.

Good call. I just did that, and they are all joke posts. I guess I fell for it.

Two stroke engines can be fun...on dirt bikes. I have a YZ125 that hauls but there is absolutely no idle, the thing bogs all day everyday and the power band is peaky as hell.

Pretty fun in a different way though.

An engine like this would suck in a car. Drive ability would be gone. lol

You guys have no idea what you are talking about, the auto makers have and still are looking at 2 strokes because of the high power and low weight.
How about 170 hp from a 1,000cc 2 stroke bone stock, with some minor port work and different single pipe 200 hp, twin pipes get you at least 220. How bout boring that same engine to 1,200 cc adding a turbo and race gas and making 534 hp, all from an engine that weighs under 150 lbs
