Need help on what my car is worth
this really sucks, but i'm between a rock and a hrad place, have to sell my car cause my company is shutting the doors in 30 days.
i'm the orriginal owner, 1999 SS Camero, T-top, M6, black, 18000 miles, this car has never seen rain let alone snow, yes i have babied it, it is in mint condition......the mods i have are SLP headers, SLP Lid, SLP cold air induction, the hood scoop is still functional, SLP Lound Mouth 2 exhaust, LS6 intake manifold, brand new Nito tires all around, most of these mods are just a few years old, EGR and AIR removed and disabled, Diablo tuner with one of thier custom tunes.
I still have all the stock parts if someone wanted to convert back....kelly blue book said $10,400...that is crazy, I was thinking more in the 18,000 range...what do you guys think?

the car could bring the higher dollar, but you will have to wait longer to get it. I sold my SS (02) with 11k on the clock for 20k last august. I paid 23k for it 3 years ago. I had lots of lowball offers, but the right buyer will pay the right price for a pristine car.
sure you could get 14k easy for that car and sell it alot faster. just depends on how bad you want to get rid of it

I was wondering the same thing.
But to answer your question. If you think your car is worth 18K (which I think is pretty reasonable given the mileage, but I think 14K would be my absolute bottom dollar), then I would ask 20K or best offer. But I certainly wouldn't let it go for less than you think its worth, unless it just sits for months on end. Market it on here, on craigslist.org, autotrader, (you could possibly do without autotader because when I sold my car I posted it on autotrader and paid like $49 and got two phone calls in two weeks, and I was getting like a phone call a day from my craigslist ad, plus that ad was free) and park it somewhere that is high traffic, and highly visible from the road (I started driving mine to work everyday and parking it on the corner of a busy street and could watch it from my window at work and at least two people per day stopped and looked). Also, if you live next to a military base, then you might consider posting ads w/pics on base like in the dorms or the commissary, and even parking it in the lemon lot on base, because military guys are always looking for a Camaro, Firebird, Mustang, Evo, Sti, etc. if you know what I mean. Good luck to you.

i dunno...these are hard times, but youll regret selling it once things start looking up. save it to remind yourself of how you made it through tough times.
i regret selling my last car. sure youll be able to afford a nicer car someday, but youve had this one for 9 years...thats a lot of history together.

I acutally had the best of luck on here. The eventual buyer was from here and drove from louisiana to indianapolis to buy my car sight unseen cash in hand. Of course it was the "right buyer" who wanted the car for what it is, not someone wanting any fbody.
good luck with the sale... id love to have another ss, but too many irons in the fire now

I will own another ss down the road, but it wont be as pristine so im not afraid of modding it or it getting a chip or two.
