Weekend of detailing coming up I have a few details lined up for this weekend. Got to see my Sunday project tonight, should be a good workout. My friend's wife got T boned in her 300 a few weeks ago, so they just picked up a black 20k mile 300C AWD on Saturday. He has been warning me of what I will be working on...
Here is a look at what is all over the car.
It will be my first detail of a 300, so I did a little on the fender tonight, just to see if I had anything with enough cut & how the clear reacted to buffing.
Here is a shot trying to show the fender I buffed, next to the untouched door.
I have a PC & orange LC pads, I don't have a rotary any more & don't really want to get one. I used a combination of 3M compound, TC-8 & Menzerna IP, I made great progress already in a little bit of time.
Should I try to get a yellow pad by the weekend? What products could I try?

I personally don't think you need a yellow pad. Crysler/Dodge clear isn't that hard (relatively speaking). What size pads are you using? I'm a huge fan of the 4'' and 5.5'' LC pads.
What products do you have at your disposal?
Lastly, if you're getting the correction you want and making good progress why change?

I decided not to order a yellow pad, probably wouldn't have gotten here in time.
I'll be using 6.5" orange pads with 3M compound, TropiCare swirl cutter & Menzerna IP. I think I can get it looking pretty good with what I have.

Um, white pad? The most important one after the swirls are gone??? 
After the orange pads, which hopefully will be enough, you gotta give it a good run with a white polishing pad to get the highest gloss possible... You might have to anyway... Different cars react differently to an LC Light Cutting orange pad... Some mar up pretty badly in some areas of the car where paint might be weaker, and if this is the case, the LC Polishing white pad will be needed to correct.
I don't think that would need a rotary anyway, but post some results!

I got the work on the 300 done on Sunday, I had a few hours in it, but they were pretty happy with the way it turned out.
