And second, the look much better than you think. I have one sitting around here somewhere that I got a couple years ago for next to nothing since one corner is slightly damaged. Don't get me wrong, I'd never $500 for one, but what I paid was a hella good deal and well worth it.
And to the OP, thanks for posting this, I had forgotten I had it. Guess I might be seeing how it looks atop the 383 going in soon...

First off, there not plastic. There carbon fiber. BIG difference.

Still even out of CF I think it will look WAY outta place in a f-body engine bay. As stated above a very thought out color combo on a built motor is sexier than ANY engine cover could ever be.
But then again I'm not real fond of FRC's either. I like seeing a car with aftermarket valvecover w/coil relocation or colored stock valve covers with colored coil brackets/coils more.
Something about seeing ALL of a performance V8 seems more traditional American muscle to me. All these covers & stuff just take away from the natural buety of the beast under the hood.

I would say that If you had a stock motor, and planed on keeping it that way than this would be a good idea. However, considering that this is a tech site for people to make highly modified engies you would not want to cover up the thousands you spent on the engine.
