Spindles. Make sure they are not bent up.

OR you can get the C5 upgrade kit, modify your spindles (you have to modify the spindles even if they are 93-97 or 98-02). You will need C5 rotors and C5 brackets. You can use the 98-02 Camaro calipers if you already have them.

Actually.. you dont have to for the LS1 Spindles..not the kits I have seen anyways.
They make that Adapter Plate for the Vette Calipers that bolts directly on to the LS1 Spindles, the LT1 Spindles you have to cut the little Ear off of it.

UMI sells the C5 brake conversion kit. Not sure how the pricing compares to an LS1 swap but, if your going big, might as well take a look.

The LG motorsports kits don't require modification for LS1 spindle, the UMI does.

Exactly, this is what I meant. The money that you are going to spend on the spindles (around $120) can be applied towards the C5 brake kit.

I originally upgraded my 94 to LS1 brakes, kept my LT1 spindles (was going to throw them away) and ended up going to the C5 brakes. I modified my LT1 spindles, since they are worthless and sold my LS1 spindle set up.

Once set up for C5, its easy to upgrade to C6Z brakes (14") at a later date if needed.

i did the C5 conversion kit to my Z. worked out real well. got the BMR brackets. i took the stock spindles from a 94 parts car and cut the tabs off. worked like a charm. i just think that one of the spindles is bent alittle because when i went to get an alignment they couldnt get it at 0 but its not bad at all.
