Default Eaton-TVS Supercharged LS7 by MTI Racing

As some of you know, MTI Racing has been working on the latest technology using Eaton's line of TVS superchargers. This is the same technology that is about to be released on Corvette's revolutionary ZR-1. To continue to stay at the forefront of emerging engine evelopment, MTI Racing has likewise been designing a system for C6-Z06 owners to upgrade to this new powerful evolution of the LS-based engine.

The purpose of this package is to allow C6-Z06 owers to obtain a power level well beyond that of the new ZR-1 with daily tactility and overall efficiency.

At 7.0 liters and 7.5 lbs of boost on our stage 2 engine package utilizing our MTI Racing proprietary cylinder heads and valvetrain, we have acheived over 800 horsepower on a STOCK LS7 in our engine dyno test cell.

ENGINE DYNO VIDEO HERE

Once dynomometer testing was completed, the next phase of development was vehicle fitment. All ancillary systems were designed and implemented to complete the package to be installed in an actual C6-Z06. Once all systems were operational, the chassis dyno development and tuning was to commence.

The final product is quite amazing. Huge power and tons of torque down low in the rev range where you drive the car. (600 rear wheel torque at 3000rpm and above)

Anyone who knows anything about MTI Racing knows that our final report card is ALWAYS determined at the racetrack. This past weekend, the MTI Racing crew took the test car out to Road Atlanta for some shakedown runs and won the overall class for time trials with a blistering lap of 1:25.749. For those of you who don't know, this laptime achieved by our Southern Stingray C6Z06 was within one-tenth of a second of the lap record for SCCA World Challenge GT, and would have placed us 2nd on the grid at the Petit LeMans event.

It is early days for this package and development continues. We will announce a release date soon. In the meantime, stay tuned to www.MTIRACING.com for details.

We are currently contructing an FAQ page on our website and will monitor the boards to answer questions as they come up. Answers will be posted on the FAQ page.

Our 2006 Z06 Development Vehicle will be on display and a short seminar given at MTI Racing's Open House & Dyno Day this Saturday Aug 16th 2008 from 10am-2pm.

Nice. I assume that the heads have been opened up to lower the compression level a bit. Give that that is on a stock bottom LS7, 7.5 psi is going to be the upper range without running a lot of methanol because of the lack of intercooler and higer compression level. Right??!?!

Amazing work and looks like a killer package.

And beyond it, having Reese show me a few things on EFI live while he was at our place (American Sportscar Center) I really felt like everyone was down to earth. I vouche for your shop every time I'm asked in person about places to go in Atlanta for work.

Bringing the orange C6 Zo6 by was also pretty cool.

That blower sounds good, although it is a great deal louder than the LS9 unit.

The cylinder heads are proprietary, and work great.
We are using pump gas from the Quick Trip (QT) gas station.

You can drive the car to work.

wtf? I thought everyone says the ls7 cant handle boost. I never understood anyways. The ls2 is 10.9 to 1 and the ls7 is 11 to 1. Why can the ls2 run 10psi and most people claim the ls7 will blow with 4psi?

I saw it on the dyno today. You can't even hear the thing. I couldn't believe it.

Still managed to spin the tires on one run. It was 95 degrees in the room and it still made 726whp.

It was frying the tires on the dyno. With over 600 torque to the wheels by 3000 rpms, it will fry tires.

I have been following MTI's work for over 5 years now. I love what you guys do. I also live in Texas and when I get my C6Z it will be going straight to you for that blower install....
