Default 1998 WS6 Single Exhaust to Dual Conversion

Looking for some help on changing my stock WS6 single exit exhaust to a dual SLP Loudmouth (1) exhaust. I'm not sure what I need and where to get it. If there is a writeup somewhere or you have experience with this, please post! Thanks.

What do you need help with? Be more specific with your question.

Sorry, it's difficult to word. I need to know how and what I will need to install the SLP Loudmouth exhaust(Dual Exit) on a factory single exhaust car. My brother's 2000 Firehawk has more hangers than mine, so I'm not sure how I would go about adding more hangers and if somebody makes a kit or something for this specific application.

While we're at it, what do you need as far as the shifter goes? I have the shifter itself (not the handle or ****). If you have those parts, I have the base for you.

Ok, that's easy enough. The exhaust will come with everything you need EXCEPT the upper hanger on the driver's side. Worst case, you need to go to the local junkyard or GM dealer and get it. It'll be a piece of cake.

I installed Loudmouth with dual/dual tips on my 98 Camaro SS and did NOT have to add anything at all. It fit fine and used the hangers that are already there.
The 98 single exhaust uses the same hardware. Just remove your stock exhaust, slip the loudmouth together, make your final adjustments and tighten the clamps.

The upper hanger on the drivers side unbolts from your stock exhaust. you just swap it over and your done!

Ahh I see now looking at the pictures. I thought there was more than 1 hanger but it looks like there is only the one? Are any gaskets needed? How did you guys like the LM?

No gaskets needed. it is all slip fit with clamps. There is a hanger on each side of the exhaust on the stock single w/ 3.5 inch chrome tip and on the loudmouth too. One of the hangers is a metal rod that slips through a donut style rubber hanger on the dr side and the pass side is a flat metal hanger.

You will not need anything else unless your exhaust was changed or modified from stock
And I had LM on my 98 Camaro SS with stock manifolds, cats and ypipe. I loved It!
I have it on my 01 WS6 with Slp headers, cats, ypipe. And I love it also!
There are videos/sounds on my cardomain page for both vehicles.
