Well, when I hooked mine up I had problems getting the holograph generator positioned correctly to allow the other me room to swing my arm for things such as opening bottles etc.
I wound up running it through the middle of the steering wheel which worked out quite well because the other me was always in the driver seat. That produced a somewhat bizar reaction from the guys at the car wash though.
Allot of tweaking, thats all you can do.

the one way you can possibly try something is if your in-dash cd-player has auxillary-in stuff. for instance my friend has a panasonic which has a sirius radio and ipod controller hooked up to it. if you can somehow spoof your radio into believing it has some items plugged in. some kind of voltage/current would be sent from the unit to each item. ex. lets say you had your bottle opener hooked up to your ipod in, when you select ipod the current would then operate the bottle opener. if you are looking for something interactive on the screen however, i don't think you will be able to pull that off. This is just an idea i'm sure it won't be as easy as i make it sound but i think it achievable. sorry for the long winded post!
