i installed a dash pad that i took out of a junkyard car with out breaking it!!!!!!

i need tips too, i can't get to my vin # so its filled with dirt, would like to remove the pad to clean the vin plate

the trick is to get those plastic velcro pads loose with something like a ruler or something thin first, that way you dont break it pulling on it. Also, when removing it from the dash, it helps to have the a pillar covers removed so you have a bit more space to work with. The pad will flex a bit, even if it's old, but don't flex it too much because that plastic gets super brittle since it's in the sun all day.

what color interior did the car have? (i'm assumingi t was a 93-96) did it have dk gray sunvisors in good shape?

lol no i wish it did have some sun visors. well when i took mine out i didnt reasize that the a pillars have to come off so it literally exploded. once i took the pillars off, its just patience. very slowly, pop the pad up no more than an inch. then putting it back in dont force it. get it in the right spot, and gently push it into place. i held my breath, it was like disarming a bomb lolol.

now what i want to know is if theres a way to reinforce it. also i got a great deal on mine. since i did the work, i got the pad and two new lights for 40 bucks.
