Default 02 CETA vs 06/7ish Suber Bee Charger

Ran a guy in this nice looking yellow Super Bee in w. Houston from a rolling 10 mph start, and from 40. We started from 10 and I pulled him to a length by the start of 2nd, and put a 2nd length on him going into third and started pulling harder then and let off. We made a rund from 40 starting in 2nd and was pretty close initially but by third had him by 3/4 and by the end of third had him by a full 2 lengths again.

He said was running exhausts, had a tune on the car, and a few little bolt ons.......

I had not seen one of the Super Bees and was a nice car...had aftermarket wheels and was very sharp.

I thought it was an SRT8 type at first as it had that similar hood on it. It seemed to pull about like a stock SRT8 would.

They are nice cars.

Superbee editions are the 350HP Hemi if I recall correctly. He could have done a 6.1 Cam swap....or just had some fun bolt ons. Of course, I could just be WAY off on the motor in those. LOL

Nice runs.

OK, that would explain how he was able to run with me better. I ran another SRT8 but was on the highway and the pull was very similar.

Tell you what, not a Dodge guy but the more I look at that car...the more I like it. This guy had replaced the stock wheels with 22's. His exhausts looked like these in the pic but he said had been enhanced. If he had a tune, exhausts, and minor bolt ons his car should be pushing 500 HP. Would think he would have held me a bit better than he did.

that's 500hp @ the flywheel not the wheels and those 22"s killed him

You're thinking of the Daytonas. Similar package, except for the R/T. The Super Bee is the SRT8 package.

The more I look @ them the more I want to puke. Dodge used to have a beautiful charger in 1968. It progressively got uglier. I saw a 68 beside a new one yesterday and there was no comparison. They made the challenger with 2 doors they should have made a 2door version of the charger and actually made it look halfway decent. Now the challenger..thats a beautiful car but I'd still take a new Camaro with LS3 6 speed

Nope....I know the daytona's (I almost got one - A Yellow one, ironically). I thought I read (prior to production) that they were going to be released with the 5.7L Hemi......I just remembered wrong. I won't let it happen again though.

those chargers look huge and ....sorry but these new (retro) muscle rides are getting uglier by the year and remind me of a big boat... Same for the 09 camaro
