Default Center council rattle W dumped true duals

At certain RPM I get a bad center council rattle in my car. Anyone else have this problem with dumped true duals? What can I do about this? My car has 130K miles... could a new upper center council piece help?

It's from the exhaust being dumped under the car. At certain rpms there is interior resonance, and it'll rattle the **** out of all the cheap plastic in the A4 console. Mine used to do that too, once I swapped to the T56 it doesn't do it anymore since the M6 console doesn't have all that loose plastic.

Exactly. Mine rattled like a bitch too. You can push on the plastic pieces around the shifter and it'll prolly stop... till you let go. lol. I just deleted mine when I got the lighter carpet. No more rattles. haha

Yea the noise does go away when I push on the plastic around the shifter... My car has 130k miles.... Do you think a new piece there would help?

I have the exact same problem and my rattle is coming from the ashtray. If i pull back on the inside of the ashtray it goes away. Only happens at very low rpms. I dont think it is the ashtray cup though because i took it out and it still rattled. It must be something close...

I don't know. I think it's just the exhause note/drone that makes it vibrate more than stock. There was a write up a long time ago about what a couple people did to stop it. I think they put something between, like a fabric on the bottom side of the sliders, or something... Dont remember.

Electrical tape fixed my problems. There are small pieces that come on the console from the factory and mine were lost over the many times of pulling it out and putting it back in. To fix my issues, I just found where the rattle was coming from and put a thin strip of tape there. You dont see it when its installed and no more rattles.
