Well I found a new mod to do! V. Steering column
It's Friday night, I get off work and hurry home to head out to joy and tele. I get home and change, my buddy meets me there.
I live in a apartment complex, they are very nice ( $$) and I keep my Camaro in the underground parking garage. Mind you this garage is FULL of nice NEW cars, and you have to have a key to get in. So we walk downstairs, go outside, open up the garage.
I start walking over to my car and something just didn't seem right I had a chill run down my spine for some reason. I look through my driver window and I see my ******* radio is gone. I open my door and take a closer look, okay big deal, a radio. Then I opened my eyes in ******* horror when I see that the ignition was busted off, the two wires were twisted togethor and they busted A ******* HOLE the size of a softball in my steering column. Do they really think by twisting the wires together and shoving a screwdriver its going to start? A: It has V.A.T.S, it will shut off within a mile without the chip in the key. B: IT"S NOT A ******* HEMI RAM.
In addition to my steering column being totally fucked, my radio being stolen with my bezel all ******* up...they also ******* up my pillar and cracked my dash pad pretty bad. It makes me ******* sick to my stomach.
BUT the good part is, when they pryed my window back (T-Top car, the window was off track) They left about 25 finger prints on the inside of the window. . Even if the cops don't take prints, insurance will cover everything I would hope. Atleast a couple thousand in damage, the column and the dash is expensive. I'm guessing it was someone who followed me home or something, some random person would not want a $8000 fbody when there are a whole bunch of nicer cars around. Someone knew the car, just not how to steal one. I'm going to let it sit there, I pulled every fuse out of the fuse box. If they really want it bad enough they are going to get it. That's fine, I've got enough reciepts from livernois alone to make AAA **** their pants.
******* ridiculous. Pics tonight.

That sucks. I had a car broken into while I was a senoir in college. I had just gotten a 95 Cougar (this is 98) and some idiots tried stealing it, but only managed to mess it up badly.
To make matters worse, after I got a police report, which they refused to send anyone out because quote 'no shots were fired', I got rear ended driving the car to get fixed. The cops showed up and instantly started giving me the third degree because the car looked stolen with the driver's side door lock popped, the inginition all jacked up etc.
Sorry to hear about the misfortune, I hope insurance takes care of you and you get it back to 100%.

that does suck and depending on where your located and cost of labor and parts. it might come close to writing it off. since fbodys are discontinued the parts are hard to find. good luck with everything. also insure your car all your mods in long run it pays off.

Damn that sucks bro, i'm sorry to hear it. Some people have zero respect. So you say you need a key to get into the parking garage complex? Check with your apartment management, maybe they have a camera or perhaps they can see exactly which key was used to get in (if it's like a key card that lets you into the whole parking garage?). If it is like that each card has a code I believe so maybe it's someone in the building.
Look into it and don't just let it fly, if their near you they'll see when your car gets fixed and try it again.
Good luck man hope everything works out for you, let us know what happens.

I would probably go on a rampage if that happened to my car. Or I would at least do some detective work of my own. Check if there are ANY cameras around. Hope everything works out for you, good luck.
