Default TT Z06 goes 9.66@150.66

Yes, the TT Z06 did me proud today. I got invited to the Import Face Off here in town and decided, what the heck, so I went... Loaded up and teched in.

I was approved tech to 10.00@135 so I set my boost settings down to 9psi so that I would not go under 10.00.

Well, it was 91 at the track, humid (showers came later) and they actually prepped the track today! (not that normal here).

I had a nice big smokey burnout, released the line lock and pulled the burnout out a bit... and staged alongside a poor defenseless import. The lights started dropping and I stalled up to about 2k rpms. As the last yellow hit I released the break and rolled onto the throttle to WOT. Normally when I get to WOT the car starts going sideways and I have to let out, well this time it just kept pulling. Shifted good to second, then third and I reached over and hit the switch for my lockup converter.

The car started pulling like a freight train!

I came around to the ticket booth and they stopped me! They told me I was too fast and I replied but I teched in to 10.00, I have a cage...

He just kinda laughed and said Oh, you are going to need a LOT more safety equipment.... AND a parachute!

He handed me the ticket and this is what I saw....

Video of the run...

Special thanks goes out to IPSMotorsports.net for building me one awesome ride, RPM Transmissions for building the strongest 4L60E I have ever heard of! Tommy and Eric, the actual builder of the car and tuner!

And of course my wife for letting me build the thing in the first place!

$$$$ on that setup. What is she like on the street at full boost ?? I bet 200 mph comes on like 60 mph in my car and I make 490 rwhp w/ 445 rwtq. Riding in your car would be one of the coolest things. I'd be to afraid to drive it. What does she top out at with the built a4 ??

Drives like stock on the street. I run around at about 800rwhp and it is pretty tame unless I put my foot on the floor.

WOW, converted it to a automatic! Makes more sense now! Is it a real Z06 or did you just change out the front and rear fenders? I noticed the hood was changed as well ! Nice run non the less!

On drag radials too...
The boost must have really kicked in somewhere late in the game. 9.6 after starting out with 1.64 60'.

This weekend I plan on coming out a bit harder and cranking up the boost a bit. I wanna see what it will do.
