ceramic beads=turbo death???
i had all of my hotside pipes ceramic coated a few months back and i noticed a few ceramic beads used to sand blast my pipes are wedged in the piping.. they will not come out, ive tried and tried and tried.
im sure they will eventually work loose, will this kill my turbo and possibly my engine???

it took me 3 months to get the crap back the first time, and its a few hours away. im thinking about running the car without the turbo on it for an hour so everything heats up and they (hopefully) come out.. im not super worried about the turbo, im more worried about the chain reaction it may cause into my motor

they are very small, im not sure on the exact measurements.. they spray them through a sand blaster, so they are pretty tiny.. im trying to find some pics of what im talking about

Murphys law will dictate that they will work loose when your turbo is at full spool and even if they're small they could still do some damage. Have you tried heating the areas and banging them loose with a rubber or cow hide mallet.

There were 2 in my pass. side header up inside the collector area where the 4 primaries meet up, I wasn't able to get them out. They were probably 5mm or so in size. No problems as of yet with mine, even with about 5 psi of boost no issues (mines not tuned yet, will see 8psi and WOT in a couple weeks). I would have removed them if I could, but they were wedged up in there pretty good. Thats the only place I saw them though.

i wonder if there the little beads used in the shaker when the pipes are polished-i find them jammed in tight places when i get pipe coated-less that 1/8" size?
after a pipe is sprayed, they are put in this huge container that shakes the pipes untill their shiny-full of beads and soap suds

Could be...I'm not real sure. I had my headers/crossover sandblasted and recoated silver. I'm not sure what the stuff is, but they were white and less than 1/8" in diameter. There were 3 that I saw stuck in between the primary tubes meeting the collector. We tried to blow it out with air, poke at it, etc and couldn't get it out. So far so good...

It happens from our coaters as well. You just have to beat, wedge, pry, etc untill they come out. Header collector? Thats where they usually get stuck. If you are using v-band connections you can bang the flat part of the vband on a strong flat surface. If it scratches the coating on the bottom of the v-band, who cares, it will be covered by the clamp and sealed surface.
