how many miles on it? It seems to be a good deal, i would check in out in greater depth though. Offer him 1100, he ll take. Times are tough these days, people will sell stuff you nothing. Use this to your advantage.

Not a bad deal if everything he says is true (done up heads/cam/supporting stuff). Make sure you get some info first, make him show you the sheets he got with the cam/heads ect...

"'510/520 lift cam"

Sounds like stock cam with 1.6 rockers.

Depends on the miles and condition.

All that stuff is fine and dandy, but not if its got 180k and low oil pressure!

As stated I wouldn't touch it unless there was all kinds of documentation as well as whether or not there was a shop involved in the assy. process. If there is then you need to talk to them as well.
If the answer is "no" to any of the above then walk away. $1350 for a complete "rebuilt" engine w/ heads/cam sounds just a tad low.

Selling my 383 was one of the longest processes and it was had becuase most who where interest was local. I had all the documentation and info about the engine. I also have a proven rep and sellers rating here.

I personally wouldnt buy a motor unless I personally know the history.

its a bad deal -

'picks up phone to call guy selling engine'

i think you should find an LS1 -

'yeah, today at 11? i'm totally there with 1350 in hand!'

lol. jk but......i think you should go look for an ls1, they are ez to drop in too, lighter, and all aluminum!
