Default NINETRES @ TRACK TODAY (Sept 5th)!!!!!

Anyone else heading to bakersfield (Famoso raceway)? Car seems to be running REAL well. Idleing good even though its a tad rich. A/F at WOT is low 11s across the board. Meth is coming on strong. Car is set for ~12.5psi. Temperature is predicted to be 90* when racing starts droping to maybe 80 by the end of the night I'm thinking since the car has NEVER had much of any testing with the suspension it will be spinning its heart out tonight. I'm smelling 10.50s @ 140ish. What do you guys think?

Wish me luck!

I hope you get some clean passes instead of breaking stuff like you usually do.

That's what i'm referring to! With your luck I wouldn't be surprised if you started the engine and 8 rods simultaneously popped out of the block makin it looks like a dead spider.

Good luck with the runs. Let us know how it goes. If it gets to crazy, there is nothing wrong with lifting.

Be safe and report back! Anxious to hear what it trapped even if you dont get a full-fledged pass in it tonight.

Car did pretty well. I'm tired as HELL. Didn't get back home until about 2am so sorry for the late response!

Made 4 passes. Ran 3 of them out, aborted one as it spun pretty hard right out of the hole.

1st pass of the trailer: 10.19 @ 137 1.5 60 I think. Felt like my first time at the track its been so long lol. Launched real weak, short shifted because my shift light was set wrong and was on the whole pass.

2nd pass: 10.5x @ 136 1.6 60ft I think. Car spun out of the hole so I peddled it in 1st.

3rd run (lol): Car launched HARD and I accidentally clicked my pro stick to 2nd right away. Crammed it back to 1st hard it went real sideways. aborted the run. hahaha Poor trans

4th run: 10.22 @ 136 1.5 60 ft. Pass was pretty clean. Picked the front tires up 6" or so. Touched the limiter in 2nd gear.

So all in all it was a GREAT day. Car is still in one piece. Engine temp and trans temp got up there a coupe times but no REAL problems. I got a couple errands to go run this morning so I will try to post some slips and more details this afternoon!

Nice! Glad to hear that the night ended well.

12 MPH after the 1/8th? Do the math for tire and gear and see what RPM you should be going through the traps at assuming no slip. Divide the RPMs that you actually went through the traps at by the RPMs that you figured from gear/tire/no slip to find out what % slip you are getting up top.

Double checked my slips. The 124 was a timer malfunction on one of the passes Looks cool on my slip though Car went 108 to the 1/8 at 6.6 on the other good pass. Definitely gotta get the 60' down a couple tenths.
