Lightbulb Laptop in glove box install

Has anyone here installed their tuning laptop in the glove box? I ripped out the air bag and the bracket for the bag already, just wondering if I'm the only one who's tried this?

yeah, one of the guys around here worked on something like this but gave up due to being too busy to complete it. Basically, the air bag cover flips up and a tray underneath that would slide out with the laptop on it. All of it controlled by linear actuators. Pretty interesting project if he had completed it.

Sounds a little too fast and furious IMO. Although it would be cool if you could do it and keep the airbag cover looking flush and trim.

Ok guys, the laptop is in. My original design was to do like mean green z28 was talking about, however my laptop is too wide to come up through the top. I enlarged the glove box opening and it is going to slide out the bottom. I just need to fab up some rails and cover all the wires/ air ducts. Heres a couple quick pics to give an idea.

The glove box is only for when it is not in use, otherwise it will be sitting shotgun. I'm 6'5 and have a good reach, so access is not an issue. As for mounting I was thinking of getting some c notched metal and lining it with foam. Any other ideas?
