the rule changed this year, that got pushed out **** doesn't count anymore. beside the ground knocked the ball loose, even if you do that in bounds, it still isn't a catch.

it would have been 4th and 9. and the score would have been 3-9 so i would say yes it could have changed the outcome but we'll never know for sure.

his elbow hit, i was right on that sideline all the replays were conclusive, he had possession of the ball the whole time. The "U" had no offense, so it wouldn't have mattered. It was a good game, Miami played well, the team can really build off playing with the #5 team in the nation. There is a college football thread for this too!

Doesn't matter what anybody thinks. The field decision was over-ruled and it was determined to be a catch by the replay officials and will be scored as such in the record books. No amount of Sunday morning officiating will change that.

shows some people dont understand the rule...pocession in the field of play...and ONE body part in before the rest of the body is out...to sum it up

and no, it that ONE play wouldnt have changed the game, miami's offense got the ball ALOT more and did NOTHING with it the score at the time was 9-3 and the gators would have won by that

Miami will be good in a few years, teams better get them now.

I thought it was not a catch till I saw the replay and his Elbow was in. Look for more DB's to hit the **** out of recievers going up to make catches on the sidelines..
