I have the nasty sumped tank on my 95....... with longer bolts for the straps it fit like a charm.... I friggin love it....
Although I wish i would have gone with a bigger pump instead of the 600A weldon.... oh well... But the tank is the shiet.....
And nate at nasty performance is a great guy to deal with.... A+++++ Rating from me...

i'm thinking the way it fits up in there it requires that V taper???? to clear the floorpan????
I think the floorpan tapers up which wouild explain why it's shaped like that. The stock tank is more rounded at the top... either way they fit so i didn't care if it was shaped like an eggplant... LOL

It is shaped like the stock tanks to allow room for wire harness and hose to clear. The original design used the stock fuel bucket for the sender...ALONG time ago. It fits so we just kept it rather than try and make changes that may not work. Sorry it is not a Mustang tank it would never fit in an Fbody.

Exactly no it won't no need to switch from your factory tank for internal pumps we have duals that will make more than 1000rwhp with complete factory style setup. If you need big power or race style setup thats what the tank is for. Any external pump you run can make the power needed.
