Both are very good, to the point where you couldn't go wrong with either of them. I know this doesn't help much, but If I would you I would probably go with what suits my setup/budget best considering both are great at porting.

Im working with LE right now ,and Lloyd is awesome to work with, he answers all questions, and is more than willing to help and steer you in the right direction.
His numbers dont lie. But neither to AIs both produce GREAT products. It all comes down to who suites you best.
Lloyd was huge help for me. So thats who I went with.

Can't go wrong either way IMHO.
Lots of threads discussing the topic, most end in locks.
The general trend you will see is that both do a great job in satisfying their customers' needs.
I had a set of Lloyd's LE2 heads on my 350, he just finished a set of Darts for my 383.

I had a very, very good experience with Lloyd. He did great work on my heads, and took the time to answer my stupid questions. He worked quickly, charged me what he said he would, and the car made more power than expected on the dyno.

Depends, they each have produced work that has gone faster than each other in different applications. But this is like which CAI is better? Essentially they do the same thing and will provide the same benefit.
One thing though is llyod offers 3 packages and AI offers two. So AI doesnt have a budget setup, so i think they lose some business due to that. Llyod has a package for 1100. Ai's start at 1400 and than 1800. (i think, dont quote me tho)

Why would you open such a can of worms? Everyone is gonna have a different opinion. Both do good work. The best thing you can do is talk to either Lloyd or Phil and decide from there. I personally like Lloyd but have spoken to Phil and he is fairly pleasant to talk to.
My business will go to Lloyd.

thanks for the replies.
i think i will go with AI. i want to buy a 96 caprice impala SS and wanted to do a 396 motor using GM 18* heads converted to LT1 style with modified LT4 intake and a custom cam.
can AI do a good work on the GM 18* heads for LT1 engine?

This will probaly turn into a WW3, if you search you will see that this topic has been brought up a million times and everytime it ends in a war. Which one is better is in the eye of the beholder for the most part. Have seen good stuff from both. I personally am a Lloyd Elliot fan for many reasons beyond the fact I run his heads/cam package, his customer service is second to none.
