Some pics of the SS with fresh paint and new stripes...
Hello all, just thought I would share a few photos of my SS that I pretty much brought back from the dead.
I bought this car site unseen (one pic on the internet) about 3 years ago for a great deal with 14,500 orig. miles on it with a motor and trans that matched up to the car. This car really got banged up and whoever tried to fix it just messed it up even worse (some chop shop in Sacramento). Now that car has 17,300 miles on it and its a 500rwhp monster!
Well, I shipped it over to Hawaii (from there) and started to manage the family biz. which is a body shop. The car took a few trips to the frame rack to get it striaght, also had to change the entire front susp. out (ended up going all tubular) cause the stock pieces were bent, and went with a new frt bumper and some other misc. parts it needed.
I STILL have to replace both qtr panels on it as the bondo/filler work done to the stock ones is god awful and I have no intention of trying to salvage them. I will also paint the passenger door at that time.
Even though I 'Manage' our bodyshop, I did almost all of the work myself except for the frame pulls. I also took the wheels off of my T/A and threw them on.
Let me know what you think of my progress- still a ways to go, but the hard parts is behind me!

Also have a set of cylinder heads ready to put on- then just need a cage and stall and she's ready for some serious timeslips!
Thanks for the kind words!

she's a beauty man! i've always loved orange stripes on a white camaro, reminds me of the anniversary model. if i ever get around to rebuilding my Z that's the way i wanna do it. the black wheels with the black top look great too. i know you still have some work to do oh her, but she's already looking damn sexy! great job.

Thanks a bunch guys, really appreciate it. Going with the orange stripes wasn't the easiest decision but I'm glad I went for it. I have only seen a few others with the color scheme.
