Default How much time to install Racetronics/Walbro pump & harness?

Title says it. I have a 98 Camaro with the steel tank.

It's a day's job if you decide to drop the tank and exhaust to get access to the fuel pump. If you decide to make an access panel you can do it in about 6 hours or so.

Do yourself a favor and just make a panel. You will be glad you did the next time you need to get to the fuel pump.

6 hours with a trap door?? *MAYBE* 2 hours if you break for lunch...

it also depends on who is doing it. mechanically inclined or not. either way do it the right way the first time the racetronix kit is bad ***. take ur time installing the pump.

Trap door is easiest and quickest way... with the trap door on my LT1 it was a matter of 1hr to get the old **** out. I let the glue on the bucket cure overnight, but after I got home the next day, 45 more minutes it was in. The float was caught on something and didn't register the gas level properly... popped the door open, fixed, good to go. The door is also useful if you did something wrong and have to check your work fast

Always be mindful of fumes/vapors and the sparks that will ensue with a dremel though... Good luck.
