Default Finally got my 9" in.......(pics)

Still waiting on a driveshaft and adj pan hard bar but here is the 9.

..... For those interested its a 3.70 Motive pro gears, Trutrac in a Strange Pro-nodular case, Billet pinion support(daytona) and chromemoly 1350 yoke. Moser housing and 31 spline axles..... Hopefully she holds up well and doesn't whine too much....

NIce! I like the cutout set up. And I see you have the LCA relocs. Good choice on teh diff. I made a little mistake when I got mine with a 35 spline locker. No likey the bangybang. I will be replacing it with something more like yours.

Thanks guys....I've been waiting a long time to do the rear end swap. Finally I just got tired of all the clunking, banging, whining, slop noises inside the 10b. Waiting on the driveshaft to come from Strange and the BMR adj pan hard bar to show up, then I can get it driving, break it in and change the lube after 500 miles....After that, it will be time to banzai this bitch...... I am sure my clutch will be next to go after a few 5k dumps on ET Streets....

Should be fun though....

Thanks guys.....I hope she holds without blowing up or whining too much after the first track trip.. Its definetly a chunk of iron..... I am also hoping the Trutrack holds up. I didn't want the noise and clunking of the locker and I stil like to auto x from time to time so I need it to actually turn. I also guessed at the 3.70, after further thinking about it, a 3.90 might have been closer but. Too late now.

Default Final pics....

Finally finished everything up, centered the rear end, set the pinion angle and re-torqued everything. Now I just need to put a few hundred miles on it, change the oil then its open season on this bish...

Put about 100 miles on it so far....its as quiet as can be for the moment. We'll see how she does after some 5k dumps....

Right now the clutch is an old McLeod single disc. When it goes, I will probably go Textrailia single or twin. I need a SMOOTH clutch engagement....I am not dealing with that chattering BS.

As for the gear, I wish I would have gone 3.90s.....I went 3.70s because I had 4.10s in the 10 bolt and 4th gear was done at 123-124mph with a 6800 limiter and I still had 100-200' left to go. That was on 315/35s(25.7s). I wanted to stick with a 26" tire so I decided for the 9" to go down in gear some but.....I think the drop from 4.10 to 3.70 was a little more then I expected..... No biggie though, it might be a little under geared now but when I build a 408+ for it and spray it, the 3.70s should be ok.

Hopefully it won't be TOO much of a turd now on motor though......No torque+no gear+ heavy *** car= BIG TURD. We'll see. Hopefully I can at least get 12.30s out of it NA.
