Default Z06 Clutch longevity?

Driven average, hard once in a while how long do the clutches last?

And when does Chevy, or better yet you guys recommend when it needs to be changed?

depends on how you drive it. I had around 48k on mine. and i ran it hard. the only reason I replaced it was I needed something WAY beefier to handle the track...and when I took it out, it was still really good.

driven faily nice, I wouldnt see a prob with 100k+

and you only need to change it if it strats to slip, no other reason to otherwise

Have 41k on mine, 1/4 maybe 20 times, and have road raced maybe 25 weekends, and its still holding strong. I do change the fluid often.

I've got 53k on mine and still pefect. No track time however, just some hard street launching/highway ripping. I change the fluid resovoir once a month (remove the old, add new, cycle it, drain, add more- 3x).

I have about 45K on mine. The disc looks brand new; it so much material on it I hate to change it, but when you have the transmission out it's false economy to not change the disc, pressure plate and slave cylinder. I'm really impressed because I'm hammered it pretty hard a couple of times.

Had an '02 Firehawk that had 40k when I bought it... then it got a heavy cam/4.11 gears (421 rwhp) and then at 47k miles it got a twin turbo kit added.... 600 rwhp and I sold the car with 52k miles and it was still on the stock clutch.

I have an '01 Zo6 that had 59k miles when the front bearing of the torque tube failed... changed the clutch even though it had tons of meat left on the disk.

The rule of thumb is 80-100k miles of normal usage (hydraulic failures not withstanding)

ive got 80k on my stock clutch with mods below i'm usually pretty easy on it minus some runs. Only seen the track 1 day and about 5-6 passes after the heads/cam. When it was an intake exhaust car it saw the track 2 times and about 15 passes. I'm gonna be replacing mine soon though because i'm getting sticky clutch syndrom. This isn't a Z06 but a stock LS1 clutch. idk what i'm gonna go with yet but i can tell you i'm not doing the job myself
