debadging

debadging
I plan to debadge my monte carlo and just put a small ss in the corner of the grille just like the new camaro ss. Is it difficult remove the ss badges, are there any holes to fill. What is the simplest way to remove?

Probably already a few threads about this. No holes to fill. I used fishing line to go behind the badges and use a "saw" motion to go through the badge. I used Goo Gone to get the excess adhesive off. I assume youre leaving the bowtie in the front grill because you couldn't get rid of that and not replace it since there is an area in the shape of the bowtie on the grill.

I have removed MANY badges on mine and others...a hair dryer and DENTAL FLOSS [as already said] is safer for the paint than fishing line..Found out the hard way and left 'scuffs' with the line. [you will use a fair amount of floss, due to breakage though.]

I do this for my friends and fishing line, heat (sun, blower, gun), and simple green work well. Just be sure to wash the simple green off well because its not good for it to sit on metals.
