Think he means APS .APS and STS are both very solid companies. Many others have come and gone with peoples money. I lost 2000 bucks to one called GMR speed sponsor on this site that went under with my cash.
I went APS this time around they delivered a week ahead of schedule. Kits looks nice but haven't installed it yet got it last fall but built a new engine. Wanted to go for big power and stock motor is not the answer for that.

Re: Turbo Question
I know you said "besides" STS. But I just called them and they said a complete kit including programmer, injectors, and fuel booster would run me about $4900. Thats with only 5lbs of boost and 420hp at the wheels or almost 500hp at the fly. Shipping is $150. and tax is $340. So I'm looking at about $5400 for the complete kit and installing it myself of coarse. I called Vortech yesterday and they didn't answer, I was on hold for 20min, and I had to leave a message. I emailed them to and never heard anything back. I was planning on buying their supercharger system, oh well, they just lost almost $6,000 for poor customer service. When I called STS I was hooked up with a representative almost immediately and he was very knowledgeable, answered all my technical questions and pricing questions. Thats my 2 cents. Hope you find a good kit if you don't go with STS.

you can get them on the phone when you wanna buy from them but once done with purchase, dont even bother calling them for help they wont answer. for 5400 bucks you can go with kentucky turbo and get a much better system with less the hassel imo....

I know most people have nothing good to say about STS, but I have one on my car and it performs great. I have nothing bad to say and only good things. It runs amazing on only 5lbs, making right at 500 at the wheels on a relatively stock motor. Pretty impressive I think.
I am selling it though since I need to recoup some money to help pay for the car, so if anyones interested in a upgraded STS kit, PM me.

Re: Turbo question
Well, I just saw the Kentucky turbo kit. It is cheaper, but you have to REMOVE your A/C! You also have to run a front mount intercooler which means having to modify your front bumper. The kit requires some other fabrication of your car to run their kit as well like replacing the exhaust manifold. The STS doesn't need an intercooler and is a simple bolt on kit. You also get to keep your A/C and don't have to cut your car up! The Kentucky kit may be good if you are looking for over 500hp at the motor and are on a budget, but for 500hp or less, I'd stick to the STS, seems like less hastle in the long run. But it just depends on what you want to achieve.
*Note (The STS sytem can achieve up to 620hp but will need a front mount intercooler for high hp applications.)

600 to 800 to the wheels is pretty big goal ,well at the high end of that goal. Are you auto or stick? Makes a difference to the rear wheel of course.
for 600 to the wheels for sure forged engine. forged 346,383 or 402 ,408 ..iron of aluminum are ok .I went iron personal preference.
My goals are to get near 800rwhp on auto ,850 if stayed m6 but doubt I will. Already ordered new auto top console piece off ebay!
I have zex kit also though if fall a bit short of my stated goal.Nitrous and turbos can play nice together.
intakes ls6 are good bang for the buck. I am trying my fast 90 for now with 90 tb. That new street warrior one might be nice too. Heads well I like AFR 225 is nice on the 400 up..205 on the under 400 would be good as well. Cams thats a real kettle of worms. I went with cam lingenfelter runs on most of their builds ,the gt7.Its very close in spec to a certain year z06 cam forget which year now. And added some 1.8s for a bit more lift. Cam card says 1.8 are fine with it before some of you guys chime in.LOL
Of course you need support mods..big fuel system big injectors..rear end, trans, stall or much better clutch. Tuning. guages..better have deep pockets..
Might want to double check the aps kits again. You can keep your air and the kits come with intercooler and are pretty complete. Still need fuel system and tuning though.
