99 ta vs 07 tiburon

99 ta vs 07 tiburon let me start off by saying i'm not exactly proud of this race but i thought it was funny and i figured i'd share it
a couple weeks ago i drove my ta to a family bbq. during the course of the day my brother in law kept buggin me to go out for a rip in it. so we finally got a chance when we decided to play beer pong and didn't have ping pong *****. perfect excuse to take the ta out.
i still had the slicks and skinnies on with a full bottle of n2o. got on it a couple times on the way there nothing exciting. on the way back i turned the bottle on. i did a 2-3 pull from about 50 mph and scared the **** out of my brother in law who earlier told me his mazda 6 pulled pretty hard from 30 to 60 mph.
well we caught a red light and who do we pull up to? a orange riced out hyundai tiburon with a top fuel dragster style wing on the back. soon as i get next to him he starts revin and lookin over like he's vin diesel. i smile and politely say to him "are u sure about this?" he pulls up his sun glasses and in a serious voice says "bring it"
so with the spray on the light tuns green and i hit it. he takes off too and by the time i'm out of 1st spinnin my *** off im 5 ahead. spun a little into 2nd and banged away till the top of 4th was ahead by prob a 1/8 mile. had to do it.....besides he asked for it

Still worthwhile to enlighten the ricers on whos top of the food chain.

And 1/8th mile wouldn't surprise me actually. Those things are slow as ***** AND the fact that the OP says he runs a 10.5 on the bottle... I mean, come on. Those things run what? 10 in the 1/8th............. Come on now.

This reminds me of when I went to a huge car expo back in August of the year before the new bodystyle of Tiburon's came out (don't remember the year). The guy that was showcasing the car was standing beside it like he was a total badass also. I asked him a few questions about it and then asked him if there would be a turbo application made. He laughed and replied, (I **** you not) "It doesn't need a turbo! The V6 already makes 183hp!"

LOL. Easy kill, and nice job puttin him in his place. I've seen turbo'd and SC'd GT V6's running 14's all day, lol. The first time I saw that, I thought it must be a driver mod issue, but then it was appearing to be more and more common. Hell, my Cavalier will outrun most N/A GT V6's, let alone the non-GT's.
