H/C Z28 vs. BMW M3
Last night I was kind of in a hurry to get to my friend's house to catch some monday night football with some friends. So I get on the highway and nail it...it's really loud (LT's, ORY, Cam, Cutout).
So all the headlights behind me disappear quickly, and I start cruising along. 2 minutes later I see some blue-ish headlights come up behind me, and notice it must be a BMW. So I slow down to 55, move a lane to the right, and let him come up alongside me. It's some asian dude smiling at me in an E46 M3. He yells that he heard me go WOT from a half mile away. lol
So we are just cruising alongside each other with no one around. So I motion for him to go, and he does the same to me (I guess he thought he would win). Finally he just took the hit and I let him get about a car ahead, and punched it. My stall kicks in and I reel him in pretty hard. I flew by him at WOT with the sound of the cutout bouncing off his car - I love that.
I shut down with 2 cars on him and so does he. He comes up alongside me and we exhange thumbs up. Pretty nice guy. Then he said didn't know American cars could be that fast.
I have no idea what his mods were, but his exhaust was definitely louder than a stock E46 exhaust.

Awesome kill. Everytime some Import runs 10s or faster it makes headlines. Whereas at Pinks All Out there were over 300 domestics running 10s or faster. And no imports that fast. Personally, I didn't know imports were so slow.....

Nice kill. I got a race coming up with a guy from work he has a supercharged M3 with an M6. This one is gonna be at the track though. He's talking it up big time. I hope I can hand him his ***.
Funny this dude is a little Korean guy. I would of pegged him for a WRX or EVO or something.

Good kill. A lot of the import crowd has never been introduced to the Domestic side of the house.
My co-worker's son has a turbo SOHC Civic and he knows it's a 13 second ride but still has no idea how badly I'm going to maul him when we line up.

Depends on the class... in no-holds-barred classes, big CI is gonna win. But the fastest 6spd title has been going back and forth between Supra/Viper for a while now, and there are a few other classes where "imports" are competitive. Remember that not all imports are 4cyl and 6cyls, and not all domestics are big CI V8s.

I'm referring to fastest accelerating piston powered vehicles which would be NHRA/IHRA Nitro and Alcohol cars, followed by promod etc. These are "top of the food chain" from an acceleration standpoint and theres really not a import powered vehicle among them unless you include the Toyota badged Funny cars which don't have a major Japanese part in them.
If your looking at specific classes there are fast Imports, but they are further down the pecking order. When you start looking at "Pro Street" style classes is when you see a hand full of Imports in the sixes, but the # of vehicles that run that fast is probably less than 25. I would have to commend the people doing this, because they are doing something a little different, but its really just another piston driven engine after all. If it were a rotary, or some other ICE, now that would be somthing diiferent.

My neighbor has an M3, and I live off of a curvy road. So after anally raping him from a roll after giving him the hit and 3 seconds he wanted to take it to the curves. I put clear air on him with him driving his M3 very hard, and acted like I was barely giving it gas!

Nice kill. Those M3's do pretty good up top off the showroom floor. The sad part is that it's quite possible he spent $3k-$4k on an aftermarket header-back exhaust which probably netted 10whp.
